The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. When you use this website, various personal data are collected.

Personal data are data with which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains which data we collect and what we use them for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done. We point out that data transmission on the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Note on the controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

RX-WATERTEC GmbH
Alter Schlachthof 47
76131 Karlsruhe
Phone: +49 721 98618712
Email: info@rx-watertec.com

The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).

Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period is specified in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for erasure or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted, provided we have no other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. tax or commercial law retention periods); in the latter case, deletion will take place after these reasons cease to apply.

General information on the legal bases of data processing on this website
If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or, if special categories of data pursuant to Art. 9(1) GDPR are processed, on the basis of Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR. In the event of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is also based on Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or to access to information on your end device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), data processing additionally takes place on the basis of Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent may be revoked at any time.

If your data are required for the performance of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data if this is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Data processing may also be based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The specific legal basis applicable in each individual case is explained in the following sections of this privacy policy.

Recipients of personal data
In the course of our business activities, we work together with various external parties. In some cases, the transfer of personal data to these external parties is also necessary. We only pass on personal data to external parties if this is required for the fulfilment of a contract, if we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. transfer of data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest in the transfer pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or if another legal basis permits the transfer of data. When using processors, we only transfer personal data of our customers on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a contract on joint controllership is concluded.

Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may revoke any consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the processing carried out up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT, AT ANY TIME AND FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH ADVERTISING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability
You have the right to have data which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done where it is technically feasible.

Right of access, rectification and erasure
Within the scope of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, where appropriate, a right to rectification or erasure of these data.

For this and for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time.

Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. For this purpose, you may contact us at any time. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you contest the accuracy of the personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you require them for the exercise, defence or establishment of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balancing of your interests and ours must be carried out. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, these data – apart from their storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.

SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies
Our internet pages use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your end device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or your web browser deletes them automatically.

Cookies can originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services). Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies can be used to analyse user behaviour or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are necessary for carrying out the electronic communication process, for providing certain functions you have requested (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or for optimising the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified.

The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Where consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG); consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Which cookies and services are used on this website can be found in this privacy policy.

Enquiries by email, telephone or fax
If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on these data without your consent.

The processing of these data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you send to us via contact enquiries will remain with us until you ask us to delete them, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been completely processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 on our website, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses technologies such as cookies or local storage in the browser, which enable an analysis of your use of our website. The information collected by Google Analytics about your use of this website (e.g. truncated IP address, user behaviour, pages viewed, technical information about the browser and end device) is generally transmitted to a Google server and stored there. A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out.

We use Google Analytics 4 solely on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can grant via our cookie banner. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by adjusting the cookie settings [here]. We have activated IP anonymisation so that your IP address is shortened by Google within the EU or the EEA before it is further processed. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Further information on data processing by Google Analytics can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Data transfer to third countries
It cannot be ruled out that data will also be transmitted to Google LLC, based in the USA. The USA is considered an unsafe third country within the meaning of the GDPR. For transfers to the USA, Google relies on the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights
You have the right to obtain information about the personal data concerning you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request the deletion or restriction of processing, and to object to processing. You also have the right to revoke consent given at any time. Further information about your rights and how to contact us can be found in the general notes in this privacy policy.

Adobe Fonts

We use the “Adobe Fonts” service (formerly “Adobe Typekit”) on our website for the display of fonts. This serves the uniform and appealing presentation of our website. Adobe Fonts is a service of Adobe under which the required web fonts are obtained from Adobe servers each time the page is called up. As a result, the transfer of data to the USA cannot be ruled out. The legal basis for data processing is our legitimate interest in a uniform and attractive presentation of our online presence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
